Production Scheduler Full Time NEW

The Production Scheduler is responsible to plan, coordinate and manage the production schedule to ensure timely, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations. The Production Scheduler works closely with operations, procurement, logistics and production teams to ensure materials, tools and resources are available for 100% Customer Delivery Performance.

Job Duties

1. Create, maintain, and ensure execution of the Production Schedule
2. Issue work orders to the production floor and follow up on completion
3. Ensure components are available for timely completion of the Production Schedule including Service Requirements
4. Participate in daily production meetings and resolve scheduling/manpower conflicts as required
5. Management of Outside Vendors, prioritizing and inventory verification
6. Assist with Cycle counting/Bar Coding
7. Ensure integrity of data entry
8. Train staff to cover duties in their absence
9. Organize and participate in Annual Physical Inventories
10. Review long-term forecasts to identify and mitigate possible capacity/material issues and recommend appropriate action
11. Constantly look for improvements and help implement solutions

Requirements

12. Minimum grade 12
13. Materials Management accreditation an asset
14. Two years work experience in a manufacturing or production environment
15. Practical experience in using MRP or ERP systems is preferred
16. Proficient in Excel – intermediate level preferred
17. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
18. Team player within multi-disciplined team
19. Strong organizational skill set
20. Strong computer skills – CMS experience an asset
21. Understanding of Indented Bill of Materials creation and updating
22. Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
23. Meticulous record maintenance skills
24. Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team
25. Strong Customer Service orientation
26. Ability to work with minimal supervision
27. Ability to manage multiple projects
